Forgetting something can really put a kink in your plans. Using a hunting list can help to keep that from happening. I find it especially important for my first trip each year.
I've driven for miles and had to turn around for something. I can remember hunting trips where I had to do without: food or water, a rain suit, a hat or jacket, a call, a turkey decoy, my shell vest, my folding stool... Not the best way to start a hunt.
This is one list of everything! I actually have several different list: a hunting list, camping list, and a fishing list. The hunting equipment list has slightly different parts for deer archery, deer gun, turkey, and dove seasons. What I take always depends on the trip. I never take all of this.
Some of it is always in the truck, and most of it is kept together in containers ready to go. It only takes a minute to check the list.
My list is only to help you get started when making yours. What you use may be very different from me.
NOTE: I do not list the most obvious things such as: Bow/Arrows/Quiver, or Gun/Ammunition...Even I can remember those things.
