Chief AJ Quick Point Slingshot

Chief AJ Quick Point Slingshot Back View

Chief AJ Quick Point Slingshot Back View Pencil box containing: Trumark S9 with 5/16 steel ammo in the grip, Chief AJ Quick Point, 1/4 inch Daisy steel practice ammo, and a TickTack container with more serious 000 lead buckshot Chief AJ Slingshot Side View Chief AJ QP Hanging on fence.

The Chief AJ Quick Point Slingshot is simply a Trumark S9 with the forks and grip encased in black plastic, and a decorative lanyard attached.

I knew I was paying $20 (included shipping) for a slingshot very little different than my $7 Trumark S9. Still I wanted this black slingshot for hunting. I also wanted to view the instructional Quick Point DVD.

I don't feel "ripped off" because I knew what I was getting. I was somewhat disappointed in the DVD. I expected it to have some real instruction on Quick Point Instinctive Shooting.

The DVD has some very basic instruction, but it seems more a promotion of Chief AJ and his products. I didn't learn anything new.

This is my favorite unbraced slingshot. It's very compact and light weight. I find I can carry, load, and shoot it more quickly and instinctively than a wrist braced slingshot. The Chief says it's the worlds most powerful slingshot when used with the black bands; not likely.

It feels and shoots slightly better than my S9 because of the more secure grip. I like that it's not bright and reflective like my Trumark S9 slingshots. I'm still a little more accurate with my old Marksman 3040 which has a wrist brace, but if I could only have one slingshot I'm not sure which I'd pick.

I could probably take an S9 and make a nice wood grip to have something as good or better than the Chief AJ. But my time is worth something.
