Cass Creek Calls

Cass Creek Predator Call

Cass Creek Predator Call

Cass Creek Calls has updated their product line, but this model is still available a few places.

I've used this call several times. I like it, especially for an electronic call in this low price range.

The controls are simple. After using it for a short time I could work it with one hand, and without looking at it.

There is a red "on" indicator light, a rotating switch for volume control, and the five buttons which each play a series calls with each push.

I'm no expert, but the call quality sounds decent to me. Especially the coyote, and the pup yips. The jack rabbit and cottontail sound like someone on a mouth blown call, but that may be ok. The fawn sounds the least believable to me, but I've never heard the real thing.

The call can produce a reasonable volume for it's size and price range. It's not going to bring them in from miles away, but it seems to have almost the volume of a mouth blown call.

The remote speaker has it's own battery power. I bought it thinking it could have more volume, and would separate the sound from me.

It works fine, but it seems to have about the same volume as the call. I think the extension wire is 25 ft. so it doesn't separate the call by much. I tried it a couple of times, and decided it was not worth the trouble.

UPDATE: I now use my iPhone which has numerous calls on it. It doesn't have much volume, but it does so many things; I always carry it. The speaker shown here works fairly well with the iPhone. I may try it for predator or crow calling some day.
