$3.00 Slingshots

With the wrist brace removed.
The traditional shooting hold.
With the wrist brace in place.
With the wrist brace folded.
I'm giving a brief review of these "unknown brand" slingshots for a couple of reasons. One is to point out that even a $3 slingshot can be ok if you replace the original tubes or bands with good ones.
Update: Always wear eye protection! One of these fork tips came off as I drew and it and the band slapped me hard on the face. Much better quality slingshots can be bought for only a few dollars more.I do like that this one is small enough to fit in your pocket even with the wrist brace. But the wrist brace is almost too small to use, and it may come off or break eventually.
I bought two of these at the local farm & ranch store. I'd been reading about how some good shooters prefer the simple traditional style shooting (see the picture).
I removed the arm brace from one making it into a more traditional style slingshot. I do like the simpler look and feel without the brace.
Next I compared shooting the slingshots with and without the wrist brace. I need more practice, especially traditional shooting practice. I could be doing something wrong.
I also want to try a wider wooden slingshot for traditional shooting. I'm going to keep experimenting with more slingshots and shooting styles.
For now I like and shoot best with a wrist brace on some of my other slingshots.
